Adult Formation
Learning about our faith is known as formation. We are assisted in this by the work of Catechists, the Clergy and lay people who deliver training for sacramental preparation and provide other events. This process is known as Catechesis.
Catholics are expected to continue to develop an understanding of the faith, throughout life. There are other courses available to help you do this and there are many online resources.
In January 2021, we launched our first online Alpha course over an eleven-week period and our second Alpha followed in January 2022. We expect to continue holding these small groups yearly so if you are interested, please register for future Alpha courses by going to our Alpha Course page.
In May 2021, we launched a ‘Living out the Catholic Faith‘ initiative where on the 1st Wednesday of each month at 7.00 pm – 8.15 pm, we share an interesting video with a discussion afterward. On every 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7.00 pm – 8.15 pm, we have a speaker followed by a question and answer session.
Topics can be on faith, forgiveness, as well as important issues of the day such as climate change and the environment. Details of the speakers are available via the Parish Office or by subscribing to our eNewsletter. All are welcome.
