WORLD DAY OF PRAYER
“I made you wonderful”
FRIDAY 7 MARCH 2025
St Peter’s Methodist Church, St.Peter’s St, Canterbury CT1 2BE 11.00AM
(soup lunch after service in hall)
International World Day of Prayer is on Friday 7th March 2025 at 11am at St Peter’s Methodist Church, St Peter’s Street, Canterbury CT1 2BE. A light soup lunch will be served in the church hall after the service. This year, the service has been prepared by Christians of The Cook Islands. This group of 15 islands in the South Pacific Ocean has a rich and colourful Mãori heritage and a deep connection to nature and we will pray together and reflect on the theme that they have chosen.
World Day of Prayer is a worldwide movement of Christian women from over 120 countries and islands who observe a common day of prayer held on the first Friday in March each year. We join with other Faith Communities in Canterbury to organise this day of praise, worship, and prayer, held in a different church in Canterbury each year. If you are interested in becoming involved, please contact Mary McGillie via email: canterbury@rcaos.org.uk.
