My Thoughts on 01/07/2020

On this first day of July we are at last able to have our church here in Canterbury open for prayer each day. This has been possible thanks to all those who have helped to get the building ready, by giving it a thorough clean and to those who have volunteered to act as stewards during the hours of opening which are Monday to Saturday: 9.30 to 11.30 and 14.30 to 16.30. There is an additional time on Friday from 18.00 to 20.00. On Sunday the church is open from 16.00 to 18.00 . There will be exposition of the Blessed Sacrament during these hours of opening.

What are our prayer intentions at this time?

Can I encourage you to pray for those who have died having caught the Covid 19 virus and we pray for their loved ones who mourn.

Let us pray for all those who are caring for the sick in hospital and for all for all those who work in our care homes.

Please pray for those who have been made redundant because of the pandemic and those who are anxious about their future.

Pope Francis prayer intention for July is for Our Families. “We pray that today’s families may be accompanied with love, respect and guidance.”
