My Thoughts on 11/04/2020

All is silent on this Holy Saturday. Normally in past years there would be last minute cleaning of the Church and flowers brought in and arranged for the Vigil and the Baptismal font would have been surrounded by flowers.

Tonight we will mark the Paschal candle and put the five grains of incense to mark the five wounds of Christ but there will be no fire. I will attempt to sing the Exultet, and Fr Sylvester , Canon John and myself will renew our baptismal promises.

In the darkness we welcome the light of Christ into our lives. We will remember you all tonight and pray especially for all those who are sick, all those who have died from the COVID-19 and the families that are grieving.

We pray for strength to continue to care for one another and give thanks for all serving others in whatever capacity.
