St Vincent de Paul Society (SVP)
The SVP is an international, voluntary, Christian organisation and its aim is to serve those in need of support, whoever they are, wherever they are from and whatever their religious beliefs, by providing a sympathetic ear and practical help.
If any parishioner is lonely, bereaved, in need of emergency financial support or just needs a listening ear, then the SVP team at St Thomas’ are available to offer help and support. We meet every Monday at 2.00 pm in the upper room above the Sacristy in our Church. Please note that there are no meetings in August.
St Thomas’ SVP would like to welcome anyone who feels they would like to join us in this work. Volunteering gives an opportunity to become part of a network of dedicated people making a difference to people’s lives. We are open to members of our Church who can bring experience or skills to assist us in delivering support to our community.
