16th Canterbury
(St. Thomas’) Scout Group
Our Scout Group is a mixed group made up of Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, and Explorers. It is one of the largest groups in the Canterbury, Whitstable and Herne Bay District, comprising just over 100 young members, aged between 6 and 18 years. We meet every Thursday at St Thomas’ Parish Hall at 7.00 pm during term time.
There are many activities and events throughout the year. Church Parades are part of the Scout ethos and demonstrate our appreciation for the support from the Church.
The Scouting challenge is there for all our young people; it leads to the well-rounded development of our youth and the formation of good citizens of the future.
We have many fun and challenging activities and adventures as well as unique experiences with the added benefit of helping others and having a positive impact within our local community.
It’s a wonderful way to have fun, make friends, get outdoors and express creativity.
