Sacristan Ministry

We have a dedicated team of Sacristans who carry out this essential Ministry in opening and closing the Church when required and preparing the altar and sanctuary for Church services. They support the priests in their sacramental duties as needed and ensure all things used in the celebration of our services are kept in pristine condition and are put away safely after every occasion.

Sacristans are responsible for many “behind-the scenes” essential cleaning, repairing and maintenance work in the Church, Sacristry and the Altar Servers Vestry. They ensure the necessary stocks of all items needed for our services are well maintained.

New members are always welcome to this vital team. We work on a rota system for the days of the week and also for the Occasional Services.
