Anointing of the Sick and Viaticum

This sacrament gives comfort, peace, courage and possible healing to those who are sick or close to death. If they are unable to make Confession, the forgiveness of sins is inherent in this sacrament.

If you would like our Parish Priest to perform this sacrament, please contact the Parish Office or email canterbury@rcao.org.uk to arrange for a visit.

Funerals

If you are responsible for organising the funeral of a relative or friend, then please arrange either directly or through the Funeral Director, to meet with our Parish Priest. The Funeral Director will be able to assist you with the funeral rite: eulogies, readings, hymns, and music, etc.

Losing a loved one can be an incredibly difficult, stressful and painful experience. If you need support during this time, then contact one of the Parish Priests who will be able to provide assistance and give details of the bereavement counsellors within our Parish.

If you would like information on charities that can also help with support, please go to our Useful Resources page.
