My Thoughts on 29/01/2021

What is the first thing you do when you awake in the morning? Jump out of bed eagerly embracing the new day? Turn over for ten more minutes snoozing?

How we begin the day is important. As I sit on the edge of the bed and adjust my eyes to the dim light of the dawn filtering through the bedroom window I offer up a prayer that affirms God is present.

Lord, I thank you for this new day and this new beginning. Fill me this day with your Spirit of truth and love. Pour your Holy Spirit into my body, my mind and my soul. Keep me safe this day from all illusions and false inspirations, and reveal your presence, your word and your will to me in a way I can understand. I thank you that you will do this and I thank you for giving me the grace, and the ability to respond, though Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
