My Thoughts on 22/04/2020
The psalms that Jesus knew by heart express different emotions and are prayers for various times in our lives. We have a very encouraging psalm in today’s Mass that is ideal for us to use in pray at this time. It is psalm 33.(34)
“The poor man called and the Lord heard him
And rescued him from all his distress.
I sought the Lord and he answered me, from all my terrors the Lord set me free.
Taste and see that the Lord is good.”
We need to continue reminding ourselves that God is not a God full wrath and anger. He wants us to come back to him. He wants us to trust him.
In the gospel today Jesus says to Nicodemus. “God loves the world so much that he gave his only Son so that everyone who believes in him may not be lost but may have eternal life.”
The Father loves me so much. Lord give me the grace to trust in your love and protection as I open my heart to your Son, my brother, Jesus.
