My Thoughts on 31/03/2020

Yesterday our dear late Archbishop Peter Smith was buried in the crypt St George’s Cathedral surrounded by close family and cathedral clergy. Archbishop John Wilson gave a very moving homily. You can read this on Archdiocese of Southwark Facebook page.

As some of you know I have been self isolating because I am not too well. It is not the Covid 19 virus but has meant that I have had little energy and feeling low. I feel I am on the mend. Thank you for all your prayers.

Fr Sylvester and Canon John celebrate Mass everyday. In these times of uncertainly and distress the Psalm given for us in today’s Liturgy is an ideal prayer,

“O Lord, hear my prayer, and let my cry come to you. Do not hide your face from me in the day of my distress. Turn your ear towards me; on the day when I call, be quick to answer me.” Psalm 102(101)
